Close up of the partly finished tower and after deck, with the four barrel flak cannon and the two 20mm cannon on their mounts. Notice the rivets, and the superb training mechanism details. The DF loop antenna is visible top left.

At a slightly later stage3 of assembly, this view shows the flak cannon, and also the Fumo radar antenna. The RDF loop is also in plain view. Preserving faithfulness to the original, notice the pockets that the antennae retract into for submerged operations.

Two close-ups, not only a great shots, capturing the incredible detail on the flak gun especially well, but a rare glimpse into our model makers' workshop, showing copies of some of the original plans for these submarines.
